5 Inspiring Games Made With Unity

We all need a little motivation when it comes to game development. It helps us keep going even in the tough times. So we made a list of awesome games to inspire your creativity. A top 5 games made with Unity 3D, sounds simple enough. Five of the best games made on the Unity engine. From mobile and PC to console. If you haven't played any of these games, I recommend that you give them a try. If you have played any of these games, spread the word on which ones you liked the most or least.

A popular franchise like Assassin’s Creed needs little to no introduction at this point in time. Identity is another piece in the AC series puzzle, developed by Blue Byte and published by Ubisoft. It is the second mobile-exclusive game in the Assassin's Creed series to be released after Assassin's Creed Pirates. The game was released worldwide on iOS on 25 February 2016, after a soft-launched in 2014 as a free-to-play game for New Zealand and Australian App Stores. The game allows players to customize their assassin from four classes: the combat-orientated Berserker, the stealthy Shadow Blade, the jack-of-all-trades Trickster and the agile Thief. Identity is the first Assassin's Creed game on mobile to incorporate the third-person urban traversal-style gameplay as seen in the main console titles. A must play for any on the go fan of the world of Assassin's Creed.

When you hear of “Escape Plan" try not to think about the action thriller film of the same name starring Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. This is an entirely different Escape Plan. A survival/puzzle game developed for the PlayStation Vita & PlayStation 4 by Fun Bits Interactive, players take control of two characters, Lil and Laarg. You must guide them through a series of deadly obstacles. Failing to do so usually results in gruesome, yet humorous and entertaining deaths.

Back in April of 2012, Escape Plan was dubbed the number one selling PlayStation Network game on the PlayStation Vita, and is praised for its creative use of Vita’s inputs, such as the gyroscope and the front and rear multi-touch panels. Don’t overlook this Unity gem. Whether you get it on PSVita or PS4, hop on this game.

If you're any kind of PC gamer, then you most likely have Steam downloaded with a crap ton of games in your library, with HuniePop a definite in your library. If not, it will be at the end of this. HuniePop is a tile-matching and dating sim adult video game created by American game designer Ryan Koons, under the alias of HuniePot. This game started as a Kickstarter campaign and after being fully funded, was released in January of 2015 in 2 versions, an uncensored version available via Humble Bundle and MangaGamer, and a censored version via Steam.

The game follows the dating adventures of the main character guided by Kyu, a love fairy set on turning the player into a successful player. As the main character, you must take each woman on a date, where they will play a tile matching game to match 3 or more of the same

tokens. The player must earn enough points to complete the date before they run out of moves. After a successful date, you are rewarded with a picture of the woman the date was with. After 3 successful dates, you will be able to take them on a night date, and if you're successful there, you can bring the woman to your bedroom for one final round of tile matching and, if this is successful, have "censored" with her.

If you're into match 3 style games but you’re sick of all the candy crush re-skins, get on Steam or Humble Bundle or MangaGamer and purchase this fun game. Just don't try streaming this game on Twitch, either the censored or uncensored, you will get banned. So that means all you game design college majors that means you can't play this one during class.

Always Together, Forever Apart. That’s the just of the story of Entwined, a rhythm game developed by San Mateo based Pixelopus. Released on June 9, 2014, The story is about a bird and a fish, that are in love but can't be together for obvious reasons. Once united, the two souls will transform into a magnificent dragon. A symbol of their hearts entwined. As the player, you are tasked with guiding the two souls simultaneously, one with each analog stick, to bring them together over the course of many lifetimes.

It’s a fairly short game, but it’s quite the experience if you’re looking for something different but fun. The music composed by Sam Marshall is my personal favorite aspect of the game. The soundtrack paints a beautiful picture of the world of Entwined, grabbing your ears and tugging at your heart strings. Pick this game up and experience this amazing Unity developed game.

1.) Ori and the Will of the Wisps [Microsoft Windows, Xbox One]

Metroid-Vania style games are as classic as classic can get. Many of you readers probably have extensive experience with games like Metroid, Castlevania, Axium Verge, Blasphemous, and Ori and the Blind Forest. This number one slot for the top 5 unity developed games goes to the sequel of Ori and the Blind Forest, Ori and the Will of the Wisps. A platform-adventure Metroid-Vania game developed by Moon Studios, you assume control of Ori, a white guardian spirit. As Ori, you must jump, climb, glide, and swim between various platforms to solve intricate puzzles. Like any Metroid-Vania style game, you'll be spending a lot of your time going back and forth, exploring the many hidden pockets of the land, looking for upgrades and enhancements to better take on the many foes you will face.

Visually this game shines above the others on this list. Moon Studios, along with the Unity engine, gave this game a visual overhaul from the two-dimensional artwork in Blind Forest, to the three-dimensional models played in multilayered backgrounds in Will of the Wisps, along with its 4K UHD, Xbox One X Enhances. Either on Xbox One of Windows PC, pick this game up and experience this amazing game.
